Frankie Gavin International Fiddle Festival 2005.

Frankie Gavin's first International Fiddle Festival took place in the middle of August in Galway. The festival featured stellar performances from gypsy jazz virtuoso, Roby Lakatos, classical soloist Cora Venus Lunny and Zoe Conway.

To ensure accurate reproduction of the fiddles, we acquired a set of DPA manufactured miniature mics, which produced stunning results. These mics are available to hire. Contact us for details
Galway Oyster Festival 2005

For the 3rd year running we were on hand for the Annual Oyster Festival Ball. As well as resident festival bands The Friendship Brass Band from Northern Ireland and Horizon, Rebecca Storm took a break from rehearsals to perform numbers from her forthcoming show, featuring the music of Barbara Streisland, in a coup for the 51st Oyster Festival. We are  still reeling from the thank you kiss from Rebecca after her storming half hour set. 'Scuse the naff pun.

Yet another Big Bag of Sticks Reunion!

In the great tradition of indecisiveness, Big Bag of Sticks (pictured left) got together for another reunion gig in Campbell's of Cloughanover, Headford. Though holding only 200 people, Campbell's have played host to such diverse acts as The Wailers, Damian Dempsey and the Sawdoctors.
Big Bag of Sticks were also one of the first acts in the west to use the new
Radian Microwedge.
"Brilliant!" said bass player Gus Dewar, "it's the first gig ever where we weren't bitching non-stop about the monitors!"
BBS continued their "wiedervereinigung" to Germany for a 2 week tour,  and no doubt back to  bitching about monitors
